For RipperCon 2018, we will not have an official hotel. Instead we will list here a variety of hotels, particularly in the historic and elegant Mount Vernon district and elsewhere in downtown Baltimore where we think our guests will be well look after.

Mount Vernon District

The district is within walking distance of the Maryland College of Art (MICA) where our talks will be held both days. The centerpiece of the area is the dramatic Washington Monument, the first major public monument in the nation to Revolutionary War leader and first United States president George Washington. It has just celebrated its Bicentennial, cornerstone was laid in 1815.

The Mt Vernon Baltimore Hotel, a Joie de Vivre hotel, is the largest hotel in the district. The hotel was built in the 1920s to provide housing for the Peabody Institute Conservatory of Music, an institution endowed by city merchant and philanthropist George Peabody, who built dwellings for the poor in Liverpool and London’s East End and was honored for his philanthropy by Queen Victoria. The hotel is located at 612 Cathedral Street, Baltimore, MD 21201, telephone 1-410-727-7101. To book and for more information go to Mt Vernon Baltimore Hotel.

Information on more hotels to follow. Stay tuned!
